Fleet and National account services

7/23/2013

Many times a service provider will mention fleet and national account services without bringing in specifics on what they will provide. At Mobile Service Pros, we have taken the time to gain service agreement contracts with some of the leading national account service providers. We have agreements with Enterprise Fleet Maintenance, LeasePlan USA and ARI Fleet. By signing agreements with these companies, we show proof that we carry the appropriate insurance coverage and certifications. We also agree to follow specific formats for providing service on fleet vehicles. Fleet maintenance through national providers is a simple process. There are prearranged payment amounts and scheduled services.
Not all fleets have national account service agreements. In that case, Mobile Service Pros offers discounts to companies with 3 or more service vehicles if services are performed at the same visit. As an exclusive benefit to companies, we are available to service your vehicles before or after business hours so that the vehicles won't experience downtime.

So regardless of the type of service a fleet requires. Mobile Service Pros is ready to meet the need. We bill Enterprise Fleet, A.R.I. Fleet and LeasePlan. For our customers without national fleet programs, we can email, text or print and invoice that is clear and easy to understand. We want be the service that serves. Remember, "Don't wait on us, We'll wait on you!"

The Hub Link button on our blog page

7/18/2013

Hello everyone! I wanted to take a moment to point out our 'Hub Link' button on our website's blog page. I have written a few different hubs on popular auto repair topics. This button links to that page and opens in a new window. This allows you the opportunity to read these without necessarily navigating away from this website. You'll find topics on brake noise and brake dust, why some fluids need to be flushed and a couple other popular concerns. When I publish one of these, I will always do it on that site because it is formatted for it. This blog page is just for short posts... if I can remember to keep it short!
If you have any question or comments, please feel free to contact us.

What's with all the surveys?

7/15/2013

Do you ever get tired of getting surveys everytime you buy something? Or constantly asked to please complete a survey because you patronized a business? I don't know about you, but I think it's getting pretty old. Also, I know the motivation behind the surveys from a dealership stand point, and that leaves a bad taste.
We know that good customer service makes us happy, but there used to be a time that people took good care of a customer because it was the right thing to do. Now, there's this carrot hanging over the service provider that causes them to behave in a forced and often false manner. I think that creating benchmarks and having incentive can be a good thing, but this 'mostly satisfied or completely satisfied' is asking for trouble. First we consider the fact that most of us will naturally never feel inclined to respond on the extreme end of a spectrum. If it wasn't for my direct relationship with surveys and knowing how they affect the worker, I would never give an absolute answer. So I think that this multiple choice standard for checking to see if a person is satisfied is too much. Just ask me yes or no. That's all. Then there's all the questions. Were you addressed by your first name? Did the representative wear the right shirt? Do you feel special? Would you recommend us to your second cousin, twice removed? It's a bunch of hype designed by companies that perform these surveys. They have convinced companies that without their proof that your company is good, you will fail. They insist that it creates an environment where the representative will try harder to create a great customer experience. Instead, it creates so much pressure on the representatives that they lie and fabricate information to help insure that the numbers gathered will show exactly what's required.
So, I don't know who's at fault for creating an environment like this, but I won't have it in my company. If I want to know if your happy, I'll ask you. Hopefully, you'll tell me

We have some pretty exciting news! Well, at least in our opinion;) The final arrangements of an ad for the Coffee News were made today. Thank you to them for all the help. We think they did a great job and we hope you do too. Please feel free to let us know what you think. Your feedback really helps!

We want to also thank Michele at Phoenix Commercial Paints. She has agreed to help us get our van lettered to help spread the word that we are in business. I think it will look great! It will be black lettering on a yellow van. I think that should stand out.
Hopefully, these wonderful opportunities will help us to spread a vision of convenient automotive service. Our dream is to revolutionize the oil change industry to provide a service that people need and want, in a way that makes our customers happy.
So remember, when you see our ad, or our big yellow van, be sure to call us and let us make your life just a little bit easier. Oil changes that come to you!

Mobile oil changes are easy

7/8/2013

I have spent some time cold calling local businesses this past couple weeks, and I think that there are some questions as to what a mobile oil change is and how it works. It seems that one of the biggest concerns is how this service will be done in a parking lot. So I will try to clarify.

This is an oil change that comes to you. No waiting in lines or waiting rooms. No coordinating rides or complimentary shuttles. We come to you. Ideally, we come to your workplace. We can come to your home or any other place, but the workplace is somewhere that your least likely to need your vehicle while your there. Going to the home in the evening can reduce your freedom and flexibility of going somewhere while the vehicle is being serviced. Also, there is some noise from an air compressor as the vehicle is serviced. For most people, this isn't an issue at work, but could be bothersome at home. However, if that is most convenient for you, we would gladly be there.

The type of service we perform is called a top-down oil change. This is where the oil is evacuated from the vehicle through the engine oil dipstick tube. Considering that the dipstick tube is an accurate measure of how much oil is in the vehicle, it makes it simple to sufficiently remove the oil from that same tube. The tube goes directly to the oil pan which holds all the oil when the car is not running. The old fashioned way of doing it is to go under the car and remove a bolt and let oil pour out and splashing everywhere. Also, is that bolt fails, which they often do, it can cause other unexpected issues. On the other hand, if my extractor fails, I simply reinstall your dipstick, top off the oil, and let you know when I can be back with a new machine so as to perform your service completely. No damaged bolt, no damaged oil pan, no stranded car because all the oil drained out.

In some cases, I may have to go under the vehicle to remove an oil filter. If this is the case, I prefer to use 12,000 lbs rated ramps. This way, all I have to do is move the car back 3 feet, put the ramps in front of the wheels, drive forward and chock the rear wheels. This allows me to gain access without using a jack that can sometimes damage the underside of a vehicle. Also, in a parking spot, a jack can be an awkward tool that can create door dings and scratches.

These are just a couple of things we do to help set us apart. We went your oil change and service to be something that you look forward to. It should be a great opportunity to care for your transportation. It shouldn't be a dreaded experience that you have to continually put off because it's just not convenient.

Open for Business! Oil changes that come to you!

We'll it's our first week of business. We only have a couple appointments this week, but we've gotten a lot accomplished. Our service vehicle is fully out-fitted and ready to go. We are fully insured and fleet ready. Monday we passed the ASE exam for general maintenance and light repairs on cars and light trucks. Pretty exciting!
We are in process of creating a video of the service the way we perform it. I have spent some time cold calling local business' and the most common concern seems to be in how we will perform this service in a parking lot. Everyone visualizes their vehicle being jacked up and some greasy guy crawling around underneath dumping oil all over. That's not our approach!
Our process incorporates pulling oil out from the top side of the engine. We use a graduated cylinder to make sure the correct amount of oil comes out. We like the clean and professional approach to service!
So stay tuned! As soon as the video is completed, we will plaster it everywhere for everyone to see!
